Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a white bubble, and how this realization affected the way she raised her adopted, multiracial kids. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in an interview recently that in regards to the color of her skin, it didn't matter to her how she looked like when she was younger, but once she talked with her older sister who was adopted from South Korea, she realized how different society treated both of the two. "I asked Meg what she thought about being different when she went out with our parents and those who went out by herself. She said: 'Oh, sure, I've seen everything I've seen it all! This made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to Parents. The actress said that she was frustrated, but decided use that anger in order to assist the adopted children she has. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old husband, Josh Kelley. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old and Black from South Korea in 2012.
