This show will be led by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that created Hamilton. Ashford portrayed Paula Jones, the main character in Ryan Murphy's new FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the impeachment crisis that swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key characters into the first ever impeachment trial in the United States in more than a century. Ashford was a part of two seasons in the CBS popular comedy B Positive. In addition, she appeared on the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, which featured famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. A veteran of Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are just a few of her Broadway credits. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and brought up in Denver and now lives living in Los Angeles and New York.
